Later on Tonight - 10 days later - Part 2 !!

OK so I haven't been a good blogger... with promises of coming back later in the night   it's only 10 days late.  Here is my post.

This little beauty has come to live with me since we last spoke... I have called her Matilda.. My Blythe Babe that I found on ebay.  Here she is with a little Aussie Cutie.
Speaking of all things Aussie.  I have completed another scrappy quilt top for the Aussie Hero Quilt's site.  Jan-Maree and the girls have been working hard as well and hopefully by the time we get to post out date there will be lots of quilts and laundry bags ready to go.  If you would like to help please go and visit the blog and join in the fun Aussie Hero Quilts.  I am planning another trip to Jan-Maree's next Friday for some more sewing. Here is my version of a scrappy log cabin.
I plan to do a red version for a girly quilt.  Stay tuned.

On Monday I went to a class at my local Hobbysew. It was a class on how to make the most of your Bernina 440. I had a good time and we had to make a cushion using an invisible zipper and then the front was done using different stitches on your machine, triple needling, couching.. etc etc. Well in the end I made mine into a lovely bag. Here are some shots. I made the zipper into a pocket at the back. I love it ... my first bag.

On Thursday I went to our weekly gathering with the ladies at Penrith.  So I picked up my World Traveller Quilt from Carolynne again.  It went back for some additional quilting.  Now I need to get onto the binding.  We have been told that we should entering it into a quilt show when it is complete !!! Watch this blog!! I will keep you posted.

I worked on my next star for the  "Oh My Stars Quilt-a-long" and it is nearly finished... not quite ready for a picture yet.

I have also started on a pattern that I bought at last year's quilt show.. It is called "Love Birds" by Kellie from "Dont Look Know".  Here are lots and lots of my applique pieces... still more to cut out !!

At our Thursday class we will be making a quilt for the Cystic Fybrosis children.  Veronica has chosen a Monster Truck quilt, and she has asked us all to to a block with a blue background.  This is my effort all ready to go !!  Bart Simpson in the drivers seat.

This post has taken me so long to do tonight... Internet is running so slowwwww.... uploading slowwww everything...

So I still have one thing to post about and that is the fact that the lovely Jan-Maree Cherry Red Quilter has nominated me for a Liebster Blog Award.  What a lovely compliment.
Now I have to pick five lovely blogs to pass the award to.  Please take the time to check them all out they are all full of lovely things to look at.

On my last blog post I showed the five quilt tops I finished for Aussie Hero Quilts.  I have since gone on a visit to Jan-Maree's place to help with quilting 14 quilts that the group had pinned ready to go.  See me in action here Caz helping Out .  It's still not too late to join in.  Here is a picture of one of the soldiers holding his quilt and if you click the link under him you will be directed to the blog.

So I have lots of things on the go... This is a picture of the centre of some blocks I am going to do for a couple more AHQ's... Stay tuned.
